2008 ECONOMIC IMPACT

 

 

SUMMARY


This analysis summarizes some of the economic and fi scal impacts of
NCEDC assisted projects on the Larimer County Economy. It looks at
2008 impacts, as well as those from prior years. The focus is on jobs,
wages and sales tax revenues. Both direct and indirect (multiplier)
impacts are considered.

Since 2004, NCEDC has been involved in creating 3,163 primary jobs in
Larimer County. These positions annually infuse the regional economy
with $215.7 million in wages, supporting between $81 and $93 million
in local expenditures per year. This represents about 2.4 percent of
total county employment and 7.0 percent of primary employment.

The presence of the 3,163 employees and the companies that employ
them is estimated to generate an additional 4,124 jobs through spinoff
eff ects. In total, NCEDC’s eff orts have helped support 7,287 jobs in
Larimer County, with average salaries of $51,146.
